DoDo is based on the event that took place 400 years ago, in which many animal species died. Similarly, the world famous dodo died out at the time. History

De Doelen originated in the seventeenth century, when public concerts were held by city musicians on the Haagscheveer. Later in 1844 the then still called “De Doele” was opened on Coolsingel. Later in 1940, the building was destroyed in a bombing in World War II. The current De Doelen was only opened in 1966. It is a municipal monument that serves as the ‘capstone of the reconstruction’ and is of great historical cultural value for the city.

Breakaway Cafe is a much-loved and popular cafe, located in the Central Plaza shopping center. Here you can enjoy the perfect cocktail in combination with a real American meal. In 2004 there was a huge makeover, which made the Breakaway Café what it is today. The choice of music is therefore very decisive for the atmosphere that you see returning. If you look around you will see that the authentic decoration from the 50s and 60s is mixed with today’s electronics. It is funny that the music takes you back in time, so the combination of past and present is very unique.

Breakaway is the first “flair” cocktail bar in the Netherlands and is considered one of the best in this category. Order a cocktail, and before you know it, the glasses, bottles and cocktail shakers will fly in pirouettes.

About the restaurant

Classic Japanese elements and European design make MISO Sushi a warm and hip hotspot in the center of Rotterdam. The lanterns create a nice atmosphere and the chairs and benches are covered with soft fabrics for ideal comfort and a nice appearance. Are you going to eat at MISO Sushi? Look out for the gigantic murals of Japanese sumo wrestlers. You can say a real eye-catcher.

Dinner at MISO Sushi

Now of course the eye always wants something, but it is mainly about what you can eat here, of course. The menu consists of over 100 Asian dishes, all of which you can order unlimited. It is go-time for two hours, spread over 5 rounds. There are nigiri with tuna tataki, octopus and sea bass, but also fresh maki with salmon & mango, spicy beef or grilled eel.

The price? You can dine there from € 27.50. Lunch is possible from € 19.50. In addition to the all-you-can-eat concept, you can also order dishes from the à la carte menu.
